Diamondtaire (diamondtaire.com) is operated by Freyja Publishing Co (ABN 72 981 681 771), a sole trader based in Queensland, Australia, publishing for readers worldwide. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit, why, who collects it, and what you can do about it. It describes the site as it actually operates.
The short version
You do not need an account and there is nothing to sign up for. The site does not sell, rent or trade personal information. The main way data is collected here is through advertising cookies set by Google and its partners, and through website analytics. Both are described below, together with how to limit them.
Information you give us
Contact form. If you write to us through the contact form, we receive the name, email address and message you enter. It is used only to reply to you and to keep a sensible record of correspondence, and it is not added to any mailing list. Messages are delivered to a mailbox controlled by the publisher and are deleted when no longer needed.
Information collected automatically
Server logs. Like almost every website, our web host records standard technical information when a page is requested — IP address, browser type, page requested, date and time. This is ordinary web-server operation used for security and troubleshooting, and it is not used to identify individual visitors.
Analytics. This site uses Google Analytics to understand which articles are read and how visitors arrive. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type. IP anonymisation is requested where the platform supports it. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising and cookies
This site displays advertising through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.com. Google’s own explanation of how it uses data from sites that use its services is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google serves personalised advertising only where consent has been given, and the opt-out links above work wherever you are.
Affiliate links
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you follow one, the retailer or affiliate network may set a cookie on your device so that a purchase can be attributed to this site. Those cookies are set and controlled by the retailer or network under their own privacy policy, not by us. We receive aggregate reporting, not your identity or your basket. Details are on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
Cookies you can control
A cookie is a small file a website or its partners ask your browser to store. This site sets no cookies of its own for ordinary reading. The cookies that matter come from the third parties named above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; every article on this site still reads perfectly well without them.
Embedded content
Articles may occasionally embed content from other websites, such as a video. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with the embed.
Children
This site is written for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and it will be deleted.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Because this site holds almost nothing, most requests can be answered quickly. Australian visitors have rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth); visitors in the EEA and UK have rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR; visitors in California have rights under the CCPA. Send any request through the contact page.
International visitors
This site is published from Australia and read worldwide. The third-party services named above may process data in the United States and elsewhere under their own safeguards.
